A member asked:

What is the life expectancy for someone diagnosed with epithelioid trophoblastic tumor?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Has it spread?: Most often these stay confined to the uterus and hysterectomy is curative. Even if it's spread, more survive than don't. Overall, only about 10% of folks die of the tumor. "Life expectancy" in any kind of cancer is always a matter of odds -- thus-and-so many are alive after thus-and-such a time. Glad this is not one of the more aggressive cancers that arise in this setting. Best wishes.
