"NORMAL" ?: Almost all drugs have side effects. Lexapro can cause in some people diarrhea and nausea. It is a class of drugs called SSRI-- used commonly in US, but can be harmful for long-term health and damaging to the teeth also. Of course, you need to weigh benefits & risks as a whole person, so best to discuss with your prescribing doctor, and see what other options you may have to protect health.
