Finger infection: A person without diabetes and with a healthy immune system wouldn't have a high likelihood of developing a bloodstream infection from such a wound if it was properly cleaned off and protected from contaminants. Bacteria exposed to bloody wounds are easily dealt with by your body's immune defenses.

Don't understand: what you are describing. However, I know of a situation where a nail biter with strep throat developed thrombophlebitis the day of nail nibbling.
