The infection: may have spread if you are getting hot sweats. Abscesses are often loculated - so even if they are draining - they often need further incision and drainage.

Needs more: attention. It may not have fully drained or there may be some surrounding cellulitis, infection. As discussed let your doctor take a look at it.

Antibiotics: Fever is a body's response to an infection in the body. Although the abscess has drained, the infective process can take a while to subside. If the fever persists for more than 24 hrs see a doctor as you may need need antibiotics
