Varies: Multiple potential causes, don't hesitate to be seen. Among the more common causes is a tear of one of the several muscles in the area such as the addicted of the hip and the flexor of the hip. You could also have injured the hip itself such as in a Labral tear, which could also cause pain in that area. An exam and possibly an MRI if it does not improve would show the likely cause.
