Menstrual bleeding: for longer than seven days is not normal. If you are still bleeding by day 8 - would seek GYN Assessment. If hemorrhaging - seek immediate medical evaluation.

Extra tissue passing: There is a greater amount of endometrial and gestational material that passes with the first period after a medical abortion. However, a seven day period is excessive when heavy and you need to see the abortion MD again to be certain that all of the gestational material was indeed passed previously by ultrasound exam.
