A 34-year-old female asked:
Husband has hiccups for three days nonstop. is this related to the jaundice and light colored stool? why does that cause them?

Maybe: Hiccups can be caused by irritation of the diaphragm. If he has jaundice and light color stool, he may have a gallbladder or liver condition that could certainly irritate the diaphragm and cause hiccups. I recommend that he be evaluated for those conditions by his doctor.
