Jaundice or not?: If your bilirubin is up, you are jaundiced and have to find the cause, which may be liver or bile duct problems or hemolysis. If not, and you are not in kidney failure, this is your natural eye color. Liver enzymes aren't normal in autoimmune hepatitis. Of course bilirubin is not a liver enzyme, but a different test
