Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. Practice safe sex, if you have sex.

No sure answer: But keeping the body tuned up with regular exercise, perhaps warm-up exercise prior to exertion, and questionably chrondroitin and glucosamine supplement may benefit some people. If you are talking about osteoarthritis, reducing stress to a particular joint (effect of jogging especially on hard surface on knees for example) will help your joints stay healthy longer.
