A member asked:

Is it possible to get pregnant after a tubal without the surgery? mine have been tied 14 years.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Tubal failure: Tubal procedure failure can occur in patients who had tubal ligation and that risk is abut 1 in 200. Thus at 35yo with 14 years history of previous tubal ligation and have missed your menses, it is prudent to do the following: 1. Get a serum HCG 2. Get a pelvic ultrasound to confirm location of pregnancy if positive and to rule out ectopic pregnancy. 3. Discuss the result with your doctor.
