It's moot: Forget signs and symptoms. Polycythemia vera rubra is a serious illness that today is diagnosed by the lab using molecular biology. The call cannot be made until this is done. If your hemoglobin-hematocrit are high, it's "polycythemia" but there are many causes, ranging from a hole in your heart to gym steroids in your "protein health shake". Get a full workup and good luck.
