A member asked:

I have pain in my left rib cage... whenever i breathe ,the pain becomes more severe... can you please tell me what is the reason?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Musculoskeletal: What you're describing sounds like it's pain related to either the muscles, bones, and ligaments in the chest wall, or related to some friction between the chest wall and the lining of the heart/lungs. There are a lot of causes (more than I can list here) and with more info, we could narrow it down. If it is very severe, I would recommend going to get seen by a local doctor soon. Hope this helps
