Just did an sti swab test and sent it away but my period ended yesterday so there is blood on the swab. wiill it be returned inconclusive?

Usually: blood will not affect the swab test however if you strongly suspect a STI (or STD) repeat the test... Hope this is helpful Dr Z

Unlikely: The swab looks for genetic material from the germs specified in the testing. Your blood DNA is just background static and ignored by the test. Even if there were dead germs there the test is sensitive enough to detect it.
