The window periods are different for the various infections, and also with the specific test the lab does. For syphilis and HIV, the standard tests are conclusive any time after 6 weeks. The HSV (herpes) test takes 3 month, or sometimes 4 months. No other STD blood tests are necessary or worthwhile. I'm not sure why you mention your right hand: of course left or right makes no difference.
