"Retained": placenta may be your issue...Call your OB-GYN to "touch base" with him/her! This will probably pass but if the bleeding increases /continues you may require procedure to remove this tissue.....DO NOT BE WORRIED but let your OB share the situation with you! Hope this helps Dr Z

Contact OB: This is something you need to consult with the OB who delivered the baby. One would expect the uterus and vagina area to have mostly but not completely healed after 4 weeks. Don't wait.

Yes: If it continues, there is a concern for retained products of conception or an infection. See your doctor immediately if you have pain or fever.
