A member asked:

Saw my doctor on tuesday 29th aug and was diagnosed with prostatitis. i was prescribed ciprofloxacin but refused it due to severe potential side effec?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

You should let the: doctor know that you won't take the Ciprofloxacin. If the diagnosis of prostatitis is correct, it needs to be treated. Keep in mind, if you look at the side effects of any antibiotic, you will see that every one has some kind of "severe potential side effect." There's always some risk that needs to be balanced against the good a medication can do . Dr. Anne
