Needs medical care: A person with Hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg) reactive means she has the virus and is infectious. Her blood and body fluids are contagious. There are millions of people with Hep B in the same situation. Her Hepatitis B surface antibody (anti-HBs) being non-reactive means she does not have protection against the virus. Anti-HBc reactive means she has had the virus, but we already know this.
