See a MD: Dysphagia(difficulty swallowing can be caused by any number of things including an enlarged thyroid gland. See a md for evaluation.

Cancer unlikely : At your age. More commonly infection, trauma, or thyroid inflammation/enlargement. Very unlikely to be cancer! see your doctor if it does not resolve. You may need an endoscopy.
