A member asked:

Hi my thumb curls in and fingers move involuntarily when i have my blood pressure taken with a cuff. is this normal?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Nerve compression?: This could represent compression of one of the nerves of the arm, which then travels down to the fingers, when the cuff inflates. While may not be a dangerous finding, you may want to either mention this to your doctor or make sure you're employing proper BP cuff positioning on your arm.
