Side effects: Steroid shots is similar to getting a loan from a loan shark during an emergency. The interest you end up paying may be very high but nonetheless necessary in an emergency. The long term use of steroid is associated with many serious side effects although you may feel euphoric from it temporarily. You are right in that this is not a Rx for Lyme disease- if you indeed have it.
