Acetaminophen: Is safe for use for pain or fever in any trimester of pregnancy. At 8-9 weeks, you are in your first trimester. NSAIDs such as ibuprofen, naproxen, and aspirin are not recommended in the first trimester as they can interfere with placental implantation and development. Your OBGyn is an excellent source for a list of medications which are acceptable during pregnancy.
