About numbers...: Numbers are merely numbers. Thus, even if it were true that older people have 2 times the rate of autistic kids, compared to 20-yr-old parents; or 1.3 times the risk that 30-yr-old parents have, it means little to an individual. That math would mean 98% of the time, older parents have a non-autistic kid, compared to 99% for 20-yr-old parents. In a individual person, 98% and 99% risk are the same.
