i put on whitfield ointment on my lips and developed tiny bumps that won't go away. i've had it for over a year now and it's still there. ?

Cysts or comedones: I doubt if it had anything to do with the whitfield's ointment. You either have comedones (plugged oil glands) or milia (tiny epidermal cysts), either of which a dermatologist can easily treat for you.
