A member asked:

Gum in back of bottom molar hurts and is a little enlarged. soft to touch. too tight to floss. wisdoms out yrs ago. what can i do?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Swollen gums: May indicate infection (most probable cause), food impaction, abscessed tooth, split tooth, abrasive trauma, burn trauma, and many other causes. This is not a DIY problem, especially if causes infection. Please see your Dentist or a gum specialist, a Periodontist, for appropriate care.
