How long does it take amoxicillin to leave your system/ how long does it keep working if i took 500mg 2x/day for 10 days for strep throat?

Day or so: I believe the half life of amoxicillin is around 8 hours. That means 8 hrs after the last dose, only 1/2 is left, after another 8 hrs, half of the remaining and so on. It leaves through your kidneys.
