I have a painful tooth abscess, i have some flucloxacillin in the medical cabinet , will they work?

Not good idea: See your Dentist. 1) Antibiotics don't cure infected teeth, only control spread of infection to other organs until you stop taking the meds. 2) As antibiotics are supposed to be taken until all gone, you should never have any left over. 3) Are meds outdated? 4) Flucloxacillin not 1st choice for oral infection. 5) Are they the right dose? 6) Do you have enough for a full course of the medication?

Respectfully,: you're asking the wrong question. If you have an abscess, it requires surgical drainage. Generally, antibiotics are unsuccessful simply because they can't access the whole abscess due to puss & poor circulation of blood. Please, please try to get to a dentist for appropriate care.
