Nerve pain: Pain that starts in the thighs and radiates downward (neuropathic pain) most often is caused by compression of the nerve roots where the sensory nerve enters the spinal cord. The best thing to do is to visit a neurologist for an evaluation. This may involve either a ct scan or mri. But if there is compression, then you can discuss treatment options with the doctor.
