A member asked:

At what point is surgery required for a torn pectoral. mine is visible but not terrible. the contour is there, just smaller and belly is normal look?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Let me explain: Surgery is most often recommended for complete tears of the pectoral’s muscle tendon. Patients who have partial tears, tears within the muscle, or elderly and low-demand patients, may be able to avoid surgical treatment. If you take part of high-impact sports and weight lifting i would recommend the surgery.
