ARS symptoms: First, 3 months is too long for onset of symptoms of a new HIV infection (i.e. acute retroviral syndrome, ARS); onset always is within 1-2 weeks of exposure. Second, the symptoms of ARS are "nonspecific", i.e. identical symptoms occur in many conditions. Even with typical symptoms, usually it's something other than ARS. But if you think you were exposed, get checked ASAP?
