Sight-threatening: complications from strabismus surgery are uncommon. RARELY (1 in 1000 or more) perforation of the eye globe or retinal detachment may occur. Other complications include under or overcorrection. Proper timing of the surgery seems to be very important and is a little controversial. Work closely with an ophthalmologist you have high confidence in. Good wishes:)
