Can use a...: If there is still pain requiring medication 5 days after a tonsillectomy, one can use a call to his ENT doctor or whichever doctor took the tonsils out. Most patients have little pain remaining by 5 days after tonsillectomy, so an apparent need for stronger pain medication means a call to one's doctor. Also, be sure the patient is not eating things that are scratchy to the throat.
