Yes and maybe: Mri is good at showing what is damaged as for what needs to be fixed that depends on many other factors / some people do quite well with nonoperative care and others require surgery.

Yes: Mir is the best way to look at ligaments. Treatment depends on what ligament is torn and how severely it is torn.Some tears require surgery while others are treated conservatively.
