What are complications from uterine mesh?

Dr. Mitchell Schuster answered

Mesh in Uterus?: It's pretty rare to see mesh in the uterus. Most meshes are used for incontinence of urine, ie. Slings, or in pelvic reconstruction. Television ads describe problems with meshes as seen from an attorneys perspective. I would encourage you to look at websites sponsored by the american urogynecologic society......www.augs.org.

A 33-year-old member asked:
What does it mean if you feel a pulse where your uterus is?
1 doctor answer • 1 doctor weighed in

Dr. Milton Alvis, jr answered

Pregnant or Not?: This issue, & stage, can make a big difference. If you are feeling in the correct location of the uterus, and if pregnant, then may be feeling increased flow in arteries supplying a placenta located within the anterior uterus. The abdominal aorta typically divides, at ~naval level, into the iliac arteries & they go deeper, so not likely the iliac arteries.
