Tickling sensation: This symptom is often due to irritability or slight inflammation of the superficial nerves in that region. Occasionally twitching accompanies the sensation. This nuisance disorder usually resolves on its own. If symptoms persist or worsen or if signs of skin inflammation develop, see your physician for evaluation and advice.
