A member asked:

My mom's urine culture came back and this was the result: 10-50,000 col/ml candida albicans what does it mean?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Need more info: All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Having said that, candida may not be a meaningful organism. Does she have any symptoms? It would be prudent to discuss it with the doctor who ordered the test as s/he knows more about your mother's health.
