Examination : Would be sufficient place to start. May simply be the very normal ectropion but the doctor could do smear and swabs if relevant/needed. Only if the cause was unclear would laparoscopy be considered

Bleeding : Bleeding after having sex warrants smear and examination. Mid cycle bleeding can be due to ovulation. Please see your GP .
