Possible: But it is difficult to tell what may be causing your nasal congestion without more details. Even if you never had allergies before, it does not prevent you from becoming allergic. Have you tried a nasal steroid?

You don't have to : have history of allergies to develop an allergic disease. This morning congestion can be a symptom of allergy or rather chronic inflammation of your upper airways, whether due to allergies or not. The environment plays a role, like whether you have pets, feather pillows, carpets,you smoke or around smokers, etc..Saline nasal washes used often would help for now till you see an ENT or an allergist
