Psychotherapy: There are many psychotherapeutic modalities that help with hypochondria (and other anxiety disorders). Speak to a psychiatrist who can evaluate you and suggest the best approach. In general, psychotropic medications (including ssris) work best coupled with therapy.

Hypochondria: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is often the most effective approach to treating hypochondria. Psychoeducation and exposure therapy have been used as well as treatment with antidepressant medications when warranted.
