Hypochondria: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is often the most effective approach to treating hypochondria. Psychoeducation and exposure therapy have been used as well as treatment with antidepressant medications when warranted.

Hypochondriasis is a type of phobia. Phobias can be helped by a Clinical Psychologist with expertise in multiple types of psychotherapy. In addition medication prescribed by a Psychiatrist add help.
