See your doc ASAP: It is impossible to tell whether this is the case in your situation, but black stool, especially if it is tarry and foul smelling, is often a sign of internal bleeding. I would recommend either seeing your doctor ASAP or going to the emergency room, if it is acutely occurring. Do not ignore this. Good luck.
