I've had a bruise under my eye for 3 years now. it came when i hit my eye in my new home. i hit it on wood paneling and it never went away.

Bruise: A bruise is caused by the breakage of tiny blood vessels with seepage of the blood into the tissue. The blood usually gets absorbed in a few weeks. After 3 yrs,it looks like you have staining of the skin from blood pigments that were not absorbed. If you don't like the way it looks,see a dermatologist since there may be ways of having it removed.
