I am having stomach pain due to constipation. stool softeners alone are not helping. can i take phillips milk of magnesia stimulant free with the stool softener? currently prescribed tramadol for ulnar nerve contusion with possible nerve damage.

YES: Philips is a "gentle" preparation..BTW the TRAMADOL may be the "CULPRIT" it is an "opiate like" medication and has a side effect of constipation! Hope this is helpful Dr Z
