A 44-year-old female asked:
Should i drink water with flouride or just brush my teeth with it? my new whole-house water filter may remove flouride from every faucet. i'm curious how important it is to have flouridated water with tooth brushing and/or drink the same.

At your age,: your teeth have already formed so the major benefit of drinking fluoridated water - incorporating fluoride into the enamel of your teeth - is lost to you. Fluoride toothpaste can improve your resistance to tooth decay so it is recommended. It's odd how many filter their household water and then go out and buy "spring water" - full of minerals- to drink.
