Discuss With Dr: Tell your dentist. Often we can help or even prescribe an anti-anxiety medication that can help or use Nitrous Oxide gas to help. As long as the BP spike is not excessive, it may not be an issue for getting treatment either. It is common for dental patients to have a BP spike but there are ways to handle it safely!

Relax: Arrive early to the appointment, take deep breaths and try to relax. This may be easier said than done. If your initial pre-treatment BP is still high but not alarmingly so, proceed and finish the treatment and have it checked again afterwards.
