I have conjunctivitis, 3 days into taking chloramphenicol ointment and still got a bit of puss in corner of eye only when i wake up. is this normal?

Conjunctivitis: It can be expected for another day or so before it resolves completely. If it still persists then please consult a physician.

Likely viral: At your age, almost all conjunctivitis is viral rather than bacterial. Depending upon the virus your normal immune system will get rid of it in 3-8 days. The Chloramphenicol will make no difference although you could get allergic to it or induce resistant bacteria. Stop it and keep your eyes clean and you should beat this back without the antibiotic.
