Ask doctor again: Endep is a Tradename for the antidepressant amitryplin. If it is making you sleepy likely need a different type of medication. Let your prescriber know how it is affecting you. Everyone reacts differently to medication. See if there is another type of medication that can work better for you.

Dose/frequency/sched: It would depend on when the medication is being taken as to how this might be modified to lessen the drowsiness. Suggest you speak with your doctor about taking this some time before bed in an attempt to avoid the drowsiness during the day. Often these side effects lessen with time. However, if this is a true structural lesion, you may need to have a surgical fix.
