COVID-19 testing: I think you probably mean the virus RNA testing. Yes, it is possible that patients with vial infection may have a positive RNA testing but negative IgG result. Positive IgG usually represent an antibody response during recovery after the initial infection. Antibody response begins with IgM then switched to IgG through the class change.
