A member asked:

I've read that urethral dilatation need to be redone hundreds of times and may worsen the stricture. is this true concerning the membranous stricture?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Possible: response of a membranous urethral stricture to dilatation depends on several factors e.g. length of stricture, composition of stricture, ease of dilatation, etc....dense, long strictures respond poorly than short, soft strictures....
