Reflux??: Can be caused by spicy foods and for some people gives burning/unpleasant symptoms in the back of the throat rather than the traditional indigestion/heartburn symptoms. If it is only a few foods one may get by with avoiding them. If it would restrict your food intake considerably, then recommend a consult with a doctor licensed in your area to consider tests and treatment.

Common problem: The sensation of a lump in the back of your throat is a common, but poorly understood issue. It's most likely a sensory problem rather than something actually stuck there. That led to the term"globus hystericus" in the past. If the symptoms are intolerable, may need a referral to an ENT or GI specialist. Hope this helps!
