Types of Bugs: Mrsa or methicillin-resistant staphylococcus aureus is a bacteria which can cause severe skin infections that are resistant to the usual antibiotics we use for staph. Cdiff or clostridium difficile is a type of bacteria that can take over the inside of the colon after antibiotics have killed off the normal bacteria that inhabit the gut, causing severe bloody diarrhea.

Totally different: Mrsa is methicillin-resistant staphylococcus aureus, a very destructive microbe related to the organism that causes common boils. It typically causes soft tissue or heart valve infections. Cdiff is clostridium difficile, the bane of people on antibiotics that kill the normal gut flora and allow this resistant bug to overgrow and cause dangerous diarrhea.
